Like I always say, “Go out and Get Wet Sailing!”

For me, it’s all about the water. I grew up in San Diego in the 60′s and 70′s. Endless summers at the beach body surfing, sailing, and just having fun. When I was 16, my friend had a Hobie 14 parked down at Mission Bay Yacht Club. It was then when sailing changed my life. After one ride I was hooked, and ever since then my love for sailing has increased and I am constantly finding any excuse to get out on the water. Every afternoon I take a stroll down my gravel lane to the mail box, I look up at the sky and feel for a breeze, thinking about how fast I can get down to the lake.

I got my family into sailing several years ago when we bought a little Capri 14 when my kids were in their early teens. It’s what we do as a family now, go sailing is our family sport. I couldn’t be happier when I’m out on the water. There’s nothing better then the sound of rippling water, the fluttering of the sails and a cool breeze across your face.
